About Snake.io
Snake.io is a multiplayer survival game set in an arena filled with food and other snakes. Collect food to grow longer, then use your size and positioning to compete for the top of the leaderboard. A mistake can end your run, so staying alive matters as much as taking risks.
When a snake crashes, it leaves behind food. Reach the remains before another snake does and you can grow quickly. Unlockable skins change your snake’s appearance but don’t affect gameplay.
How to Play Snake.io
Move around the arena and collect food to increase your size. Other snakes are both obstacles and opportunities: position yourself to force a collision, then move in quickly to collect the food left behind. As you grow, use your size to control space and trap smaller rivals in circles.
Boosts let you move faster, but they use mass. Hold the boost when you need to avoid a hit, cut off an opponent, or reach food after a takedown. Save your mass when a safer route will keep you alive, especially near the top of the leaderboard.
Tips for Snake.io
- Take more risks while your snake is small, when losing some size is less costly.
- Follow the crown icon to locate the largest snake.
- Once you’re large enough, circle opponents and use your size to limit their movement.
- Choose survival over aggression when you’re close to the top of the leaderboard.
