Agar.io starts you as a tiny cell in a crowded arena. Collect colorful pellets to gain mass, absorb smaller cells, and avoid larger opponents that can absorb you instantly. The longer you survive, the slower your cell moves, so positioning matters more as you grow.
How to Play Agar.io
Each round runs continuously while you drift through the arena with other players. Build mass safely with pellets before chasing cells. A split attack launches part of your mass forward, which can help you capture a nearby target or escape danger, but a mistimed split leaves you vulnerable until your pieces recombine.
Viruses add another risk-and-reward choice. Small cells can use them as cover, while oversized cells risk having their mass shattered by them. The round ends when a larger cell absorbs you or a virus breaks your mass apart beyond recovery.
Tips for Agar.io
- Collect pellets early instead of taking long, risky chases.
- Split only when a target is clearly within reach; an early split gives opponents an easy opening.
- Stay near the edges while growing to reduce the directions from which rivals can attack.
- After splitting, retreat and wait for your cells to recombine before entering a crowded area.
- Watch your movement speed. As your cell grows slower, careful positioning becomes more important than simply gaining mass.
