Spotle is a daily music guessing game with one mystery artist and 10 guesses. Choose an artist, submit the name, and read the clue grid that compares your guess with the hidden answer. The game draws from about 1,000 possible artists, so each result helps narrow the field.
How to Play Spotle
Start with any artist name. Each guess reveals six comparisons: debut year, group size, listener rank, gender, genre, and nationality. Green means the attribute matches exactly. Yellow means it is close, while arrows show whether the target is earlier or later, more or less popular, or otherwise higher or lower where that comparison applies.
Use the clues to adjust your next guess instead of treating each attempt as a separate shot. A matching nationality and genre can narrow your list quickly, while the debut-year and listener-rank arrows help rule out artists from the wrong period or popularity range. Keep your final two or three guesses for a field with mostly confirmed clues, because you have exactly 10 attempts.
Identify the artist before the guesses run out to solve the puzzle. A new answer is available each day.
