Number Match
Number Match is a grid puzzle where you pair identical tiles or numbers totaling 10 along clear horizontal, vertical, or diagonal paths.
Number Match asks you to spot number pairs on a grid. Remove two identical tiles, such as 8 and 8, or choose two numbers that total 10, such as 7 and 3.
How to Play Number Match
Select one number, then select its valid partner. The two tiles must connect in a clear horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line, with no other numbers between them. A match removes both tiles, so each choice changes the lines available for your next pair.
Start by checking the obvious total-10 combinations and identical pairs. Then look along diagonals as well as rows and columns; a valid match may be farther away when the route between the tiles is open.
Different Number Match Rules
Number Match has versions with different objectives and extra mechanics. In a clear-the-grid version, the aim is to remove every number. When no pair is available, an Add Numbers option appends the remaining numbers to the grid, which can reveal new matches but also leaves a more crowded board. That version also allows a wrap-around connection from the end of one row to the start of the next.
A timed version gives you three minutes to score by clearing valid pairs. When no matches remain, it deals a new board and the timer continues. Clock tiles add time when matched, while rocket tiles clear their row and column. Tiles above cleared spaces fall downward, so early matches near the top can preserve more options below.
