Shady Cats is a platform game about staying ahead of a shadow that copies your cat’s movements. Move across platforms, collect items, and time your jumps carefully because contact with a shadow ends the run.

How to Play Shady Cats

Choose Normal or Crazy mode, then guide your cat across the platforms while watching the route behind you. Every movement can give the pursuing shadow a path to follow, so unnecessary backtracking can leave you trapped. Check the route before chasing a pickup, and keep moving when stopping would let the shadow close in.

The game also supports local multiplayer. Each cat has its own pursuing shadow, so shared spaces require careful positioning. In Crazy mode, earlier shadows remain part of the challenge across endless levels. Power-up cards such as Shield, Vanish, and Magnet can appear after a level, while fireflies temporarily remove shadows and create a chance to escape. Fish attract bees, so tempting pickups can introduce another hazard.

Tips for Shady Cats

• Look ahead before moving toward a pickup. A safe route matters more than grabbing every item immediately.
• Avoid needless backtracking. Your shadow repeats your earlier movement and can turn a familiar path into a trap.
• Use well-timed jumps to stay ahead of the shadow.
• Treat fish carefully because bees can gather around them.
• Save a firefly opportunity for a crowded route or a close chase, since it temporarily eliminates shadows.

Game Controls

Move left and right with the arrow keys. Press the Up Arrow or Spacebar to jump. Local multiplayer uses additional keyboard controls for the other cats.
