I’ve played a lot of Wordle-inspired games, but Polydle truly takes things to the next level. Imagine guessing multiple words simultaneously — sometimes two, sometimes ten — all reacting to your guesses at the same time. It’s fast, brain-burning, and ridiculously fun once you get into the flow.

What is Polydle

Polydle is a Wordle-inspired puzzle game that challenges players to guess multiple 5-letter words at once. Each guess applies to every active board, and you’ll see color feedback (green, yellow, gray) for each word independently.

You can even scroll horizontally to see all the words you’re solving. Once you correctly guess a word, that board locks, and your focus shifts to the remaining puzzles.

How to Play Polydle

When you start a game of Polydle, you’ll see multiple Wordle-style grids side by side. Type any valid 5-letter word and hit Enter — that guess applies to every grid at once.

Each word responds independently:

🟩 Green means the letter is correct and in the right position.
🟨 Yellow means the letter is in the word but in the wrong place.
⬜ Gray means the letter isn’t in the word.

At first, it’s tempting to focus on one board, but that’s a rookie mistake. The trick is to let your guesses gather clues across all boards, and then start honing in on the ones that give you the most feedback. You’ll find yourself scanning left and right constantly, switching your attention between grids as new letters reveal themselves. It’s a little like playing chess on eight boards at once — you need both patience and rhythm.

Modes

Polydle also offers a few different modes to keep things interesting.

Classic Mode
Solve as many words as possible in the fewest guesses. Aim for n+5 guesses, where n is the number of words.
Speed Mode
Time is all that matters — solve everything as quickly as you can, regardless of how many guesses it takes.
Perfect Mode
This one’s for hardcore players. The game guarantees that each column can be solved logically with no guessing — but you only get 3 mistakes before losing. It’s part puzzle, part logic test, and fully addictive.

Tips and Tricks

One of the best ways to start strong in Polydle is to use opening words that cover as many different letters as possible. Try not to repeat letters in your first 5–10 guesses — the more variety you have early, the faster you’ll collect information across all grids.

As you move along, always prioritize the board where you’ve already uncovered the most matching letters. Solving one quickly not only feels great but also reduces the noise on your screen. And if you ever feel stuck, take a breath, scroll through your boards, and shift focus — sometimes the answer is hiding in a grid you’ve ignored.

Of course, there’s no shame in using a helper tool or word finder when things get brutal… though some purists might call that cheating.
