Half-Life: Deathmatch puts you in fast-paced sci-fi arena firefights across industrial corridors, exposed walkways, and elevated platforms. The goal is direct: eliminate opponents, add to your frag score, and finish ahead of the other players.
How to Play Half-Life: Deathmatch
Move through each arena while collecting available weapons and watching for opponents around corners, choke points, and open firing lanes. Jump across obstacles, switch weapons when the distance changes, and reload before the next encounter reaches you. Close-range fights reward quick reactions, while elevated platforms can provide useful firing angles.
You can join public servers, use private lobbies for matches with friends, or add customizable AI bots for practice and busier firefights. Ten arenas include Bootcamp, Bounce, Crossfire, Datacore, and Frenzy. Tight routes favor careful positioning, while open areas leave more room for direct shootouts.
Before battle, choose from 14 character models, including Gina, Gordon, Hgrunt, Skeleton, and Zombie. The match outcome comes from your frag count, so keep moving, control your weapon switches, and avoid letting several opponents converge on your position.
