Slither.io is an endless multiplayer snake game set in a continuous arena. You start small, collect glowing pellets, and grow longer while other snakes compete for the same space. A larger snake controls more area, but tight turns and crowded zones make fatal collisions more likely.

There are no levels or finish lines. Your run ends when your snake crashes, and your progress is measured by survival time, size, and leaderboard position. When another snake falls, its mass becomes a valuable group of glowing pellets that can help you grow quickly.

How to Play Slither.io

Use the mouse to steer your snake around the arena. Collect scattered pellets and watch the movement of rival snakes before choosing when to turn, chase, or retreat. You can click to boost, but the extra speed costs size, so careless boosts can shorten a promising run.

Positioning matters more than constant aggression. Stay near open space when you need room to escape, make wider turns as your snake grows, and avoid crowded central areas during busy encounters. You can circle a smaller snake gradually to tighten the space around it, or use a timed boost near a rival’s head to force a collision. Waiting near a fight may also let you collect leftover pellets without taking the initial risk.

• Keep an escape route open: Open space gives you more room to turn away from sudden collisions.
• Use boosts with a reason: Boost to escape or secure a safe trap, but remember that speed consumes your snake’s size.
• Collect fallen snakes quickly: The pellets left after a crash provide more mass than ordinary scattered pellets.
• Give larger snakes room: Your snake needs wider turns as it grows, especially near crowded areas.
• Let rivals make the first mistake: Patience can be safer than chasing every nearby snake.
