Voxalike
Perform scene dialogue into your microphone, retry each line, and finish solo or multiplayer dubs in Voxalike with shareable video or audio.
Voxalike turns scene dubbing into a timing and performance game. Choose a Dub Pack, perform each character line into your microphone, then hear your recording placed back into the scene. You can practice alone, build a shared Co-op dub, or compare performances in PVP.
How to Play Voxalike
Start by choosing a Dub Pack in Workshop and installing its files through Mods. Once the pack is ready, open Settings, select the microphone you want to use, and complete Mic Check at your normal performance volume. The meter should react to your voice before you begin recording.
Record each line when its prompt appears, then replay the take. Timing, delivery, and volume affect how the line fits the scene, so retry a take when the performance or timing is off. Some room modes may let you skip a line, but retrying is the main way to improve a recording before continuing.
Finish the pack to render the completed dub. From the results screen, you can replay the performance and save an available landscape video, vertical Shorts video, or audio track.
Tips for Voxalike
- Use headphones: They keep the original scene audio from playing back through your microphone.
- Keep your distance steady: Speak at a consistent distance and performance volume so your recordings remain easier to judge.
- Retry before moving on: Listen to each take and record it again when the timing or delivery does not fit the scene.
- Export before leaving: Wait for the result to finish rendering, then save the video or audio while it is still available on the results screen.
Voxalike Modes and Community Packs
Solo mode gives you a place to practice the recording loop. Co-op lets a room build one shared dub, while PVP compares performances in a competitive room. Community Dub Packs add more scenes and roles, and the Workshop lets you manage the packs installed in your browser.
